Danielle Kreassig is an Educational Specialist for Literacy supporting Virginia Public School Regions 2 and 3 by bringing a lifelong passion for helping all learners become confident, capable readers and writers. With over 20 years of experience in K-12 education, Kreassig has served K-12 schools as a teacher, Instructional Specialist, Secondary Literacy Coach, and Reading Specialist, always maintaining a teacher-focused perspective. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and professional learning initiatives across multiple levels, consistently helping educators enhance their instructional practice. In addition, Kreassig contributes valuable higher education experience, including teaching, mentoring, and leading program development initiatives. She is deeply committed to supporting schools, teachers, students, and families, fostering strong reading and writing skills, and nurturing a lifelong love of literacy in learners. She holds an Ed.D. from The George Washington University, a Reading Specialist degree from Regent University, and undergraduate and master’s degrees in education from Old Dominion University. She remains dedicated to advancing literacy opportunities for all students and supporting continued growth for all educators.
